αlpha: Is there More to Life than this?

We live in a cyclical world; from the water cycle, the carbon cycle to the cyclical changes in our seasons of Summer, Autumn, Spring and Winter. A cycle we see everyday is just that: A day; the rising to the setting of the sun. A level higher from that would be a week, and then a month and then a year and so forth. Before we know it, these cycles just pass us by; the sun has set and it's Monday - yet again.

A new year has begun and it seems like we the uniforms just transition with age: from primary school uniforms to high school to university and then the standard workforce attire of the dress shirt and tie combo that we see in the city.

Many a times, people don't question it. We live to get "there"; to have the "right" friends, to get that grade for our exam, to get to the 'x' amount of money in our bank account, to acquire the perfect girl/boyfriend, to finally look "good" enough, to buy that car and house with the white picket fence with a beautifully designed lawn, it goes on.

So, what happens when we get "there"? Is there more to life than just transitions of uniforms till this "circle of life" draws closer to the end? 

This week at Kingsway Youth, we'll be starting our first session of Alpha to further explore this concept of if there was more to life than "getting there" and an introduction to who God is in the midst of it.
