You've probably heard this over and over again at church.
"You are the light of the world. You need to tell the people around you about the gospel and what Jesus has done for you."
And you may have asked yourself:
"But how do I go about doing that? How do I even begin to share God's Word with my friends without them thinking that I'm a religious wierdo? Aren't they going to just react defensively and ignore everything I'm going to say anyway? Why even bother?"
If you have ever asked yourself any of the questions above, like me, then you'll be interested to hear what Michael Lim has to say at Youth this Friday. Yup, he's our guest speaker at Youth this week and he'll be talking about why we should bother reaching out to our non-believing friends as well as giving some practical ways of how we can go about doing it. He'll be focusing mainly on outreach among our friends, or in other words, "friendship evangelism".
We'll also be reviewing the movie we watched last week "Courageous" and breaking into our small groups to discuss the questions.
SO...there's a lot going on.
I'll see you all at Youth this Friday, 7:30pm sharp!! =D
