Backing track of "Highest" (Without Drums and Vocals)
Yep guys, this is the same as before, just an instrumental bit from the song for you guys to sing or play your instruments along to.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
Modified backing track of "BLESSED" (Without Drums and Vocals) for Instrumentalists to play along with
Hi again guys, i managed to rip this off from the credits roll of hillsong concert. Basically, it's a shortened version of "Blessed" but you get to hear the specific parts and intricacies of the different instruments (cept drums and vocals).
1. In the beginning, it's just the keyboards with some sort of synthesized strings or atmospheric kinda sound with a "swelling" effect. (Pianists/Keyboardist this might interest you!)
2. Next comes the acoustic guitar strumming and Piano improvisation part leading to the main verse of the song. In this recording you can't hear the hammond organ after i converted the original audio file to an MP3 *sigh*, but just to let you guys know, there's a hammond organ playing some chords in the background.
3. After Piano intro, you can hear an electric guitar (with some form of overdrive or distortion) doing some rhythm parts and riftery.
4. Finally, it goes to the Guitar solo (Andrew/Geoff/David/Edward/whoever wants to play the guitar take note of this section! Around the 1:50 mark of the song)

Revised lyrics from Melbourne

Here it is guys, they've finally given it to me upon asking them. Well they didn't let me vet the lyrics before distributing it out and they've changed the key to E-major without letting me know as well.
Strange, i thought that due to the copyright issues and stuff they would have proceeded more professionally with the handling of the song. But oh well. Here it is.
Live recording of the 2006 Melbourne youth convention theme song!
Here it is guys/gals!
I would like to thank everyone that made this recording possible!
Jono reminded me that apparently the church over there has been banned from having a band during their worship service due to noise pollution. So we might have to do this song along to a backing track.
We'll see how it goes!

The Student's Psalm
I'm sure many of you have seen this before, but it's a funny take on the Psalm I posted a few days ago. And it's quite true, too!
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not flunk;
He keepeth me from lying down when I should be studying.
He leadeth me beside the water cooler for a study break;
He restores my faith in study guides.
He leads me to better study habits
For my grades' sake.
Yea, tho' I walk through the valley of borderline grades,
I will not have a nervous breakdown;
For Thou art with me;
My prayers and my friends, they comfort me.
Thou givest me the answers in moments of blankness;
Thou anointest my head with understanding,
My test paper runneth over with questions I recognize.
Surely passing grades and flying colors shall follow me
All the days of examinations;
And I shall not have to dwell in this university
Forever!
Amen!

The English Theme Song in G-major ?
Ok guys, this is the revised version of the song which was originally in C-major.
Due to the lack of time, i was unable to re-write the entire notation/score of the song so i just transposed everything down by 5 semitones (5 i think? lolz) to G-major in the Midi sequencing software. The reason why i did it in C-major originally was due to the fact that it had not much sharps nor flats, and i thought that it would have been easier for the guitarists to play along. But the Judges found it a bit too high especially the chorus so i decided that this would help out the situation.
Hmmmm oh well, here is the "lower-pitched" version
Hope you guys like this one too.

E X A M S
Hey,
Just wanted to remind everybody to pray for one another during the exam period. It's the best thing we can do. Remember (from today's sermon) that Jesus will give our souls rest if we're feeling stressed, burnt out, or just worried :)
Please leave comments, with the dates & times of your exams so that we'll know when to pray for you. I'll start with an example. All the best! Do your best for God!

Psalm 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
Please leave comments, with the dates & times of your exams so that we'll know when to pray for you. I'll start with an example. All the best! Do your best for God!

The very first christian metal band ever! (Whoever said that metal is always the devil's tool?)
Guys, i've recently found this EXCELLENT metal band called Stryper and they really pack a punch especially in this song called "Soldiers under command" which happens to my favourite Stryper song, i fell in love with it the moment i heard it, heavy distortion and catchy rifts yet melodic and meaningful vocals (not to mention hard hitting drums! Yeah, i'm a die-hard drumming fan). Hope you guys like this song and discovery i made! Maybe we can do "Soldiers under command" for Singspiration one day! LoL!
"Stryper is a Christian metal band from Orange County, California, USA. Formed in 1983, they are considered pioneers in the mainstream popularization of Christian rock music. Stryper enjoyed great success during the late 1980s before breaking up in 1992, when most metal groups of the 1980s lost popularity. However, the band reunited in 2003 and are attempting a comeback in the Christian music world.
The name "Stryper" derives from the King James Version of Isaiah 53:5:
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
The scriptural reference is also part of Stryper's logo on most of their releases. In addition, the band's name has been said to stand for:
"Salvation Through Redemption, Yielding Peace, Encouragement, and Righteousness."

Attacks on Christianity
Hey guys, i was browsing through the net when i came across this article or post by someone who obviously has something against christians or christianity. I hope that the people all over the world who read this didn't turn their face away from God as a result. I think we need to pray for this guy, he seems pretty lost, angry and confused.
