As you all know, the committee went on a hiking retreat last Saturday. Although 3 of the committee members weren't able to make it, the rest of us, 6 in all, sat in Edward's van and went down to Serpentine National Park for some hiking and bonding time. T
Here are some fun pics from the trip!
Thanks Ed for being our driver! |
OFF WE GO!!!
1 HOUR LATER....
we arrive at Serpentine Falls.
I managed to take the photo while the lil joey was in mid - air. =)
Someone's afraid of heights...;P |
David enjoying the view....
Ros about to take a dip in the Serpentine Falls.
After 5 attempts, we finally succeeded in taking a photo with Christina's camera on auto timing. |
THEN, IT'S LUNCH TIME!!!
We went to a cafe for lunch and there were lorikeets flying freely around the verandah. (not that we ate the birds for lunch...heehee). I bought some bird seed to feed the birds.
After lunch, it's time for....
SWORDFIGHT!!!
We had many close encounters with the creatures of the outback.
Then we went on a 2 hour hike up the bluff knoll. The view at the top was quite nice.
You can just vaguely see a slithery white thing - that's the serpentine falls. We roughly walked from the falls, up the steep and very very rocky climb, over billions of angry bull ants to the summit of the bluff knoll.
On the drive back to Perth....
I got him 10 mins later.
And another time...
Overall, we had a great time and we all made it back home in one piece by God's grace. BIG THANKS to Ed who was our driver.
yay,...got 2 birds. |
After lunch, it's time for....
"AAAAHH...Hornet!! Quick, close the door!!!!!" |
