World Methodist Council

Did you know that our church - Kingsway Methodist Church - is under the umbrella of the Chinese Methodist Church in Australia (CMCA)? The CMCA is a member of the World Methodist Council, an organisation of churches in the Methodist (Wesleyan) tradition. There are 76 member denominations in 132 countries. See here for more info.

The World Methodist Council has eight committees. One of them is the Youth committee and its motto is based on the following:

1st Timothy 4:12 and Ephesians 4:12-13: "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set and example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ."

I think that is something we should all try to live up to.
