Words we speak & Wisdom that honours (James 3)

The Fire that Consumes All before It (1978) Cy Twombly

The words we speak make a difference. Through our tongues, chaos can be ensued or peace can be sowed. Though a ship may be large it is controlled by a small rudder- where are you steering? A forest fire begins with a spark and so it sets off a blaze, consuming all in its path. Many a times, we don't notice or don't realise the type, tone or character of our words. How we speak is an overflow of our thoughts and so in some sense, our perception. Yet, we have a tendency to fall into thoughts in which brings us fear, shame and sadness.

Let's learn from James 3 of what he has to say about all this. Do read it beforehand if you're keen for more indepth discussion. Also do bring your bibles, notebooks and pens.
