Why did Jesus die?

Imagine being accused for something you've done wrong. Your mum's going off her head at you, your palms are getting sweaty, knees weak and arms getting heavy, blood rushing to your brain, face getting hot and flustered. Dread.

"I'm sorry"

You hear the words, but you don't even realise the words coming out of your mouth.
Because they weren't from your mouth, they were from your mum's mouth.

Why would someone judge us, condemn us but then after all that, apologise? and even on top of all that, take the punishment as well?
