Hey Youthies!!
This week at youth I am very excited to interview our guest speaker who is a converted Muslim and has risked his life on numerous occasions simply from being a Christian.
I'm sure many of you have heard negative things about Islam on the news. Terms like "Islamic Al Jihad" or "Shi'ite Muslims" are often heard on TV and usually linked with bombings, hijackings and other terrorist acts. Have you ever considered what these words mean? And what do you know about this faith that is professed by nearly 1 in 5 people on earth? Do you have any Muslim friends that you would like to reach out to?
This Friday will no doubt be an eye opening experience as our speaker was brought up in Afghanistan and will be able to tell you firsthand on what it really means to be a Muslim as well as share his amazing stories. Definitely not an event to be missed.
Invite your friends to come!! CMYFers will also be joining us in this event so take this opportunity to get to know them - pluck up some courage guys, they are super friendly and most of them are full of energy like Andrew.
Oh yes, due to the sizeable number of people most likely coming, youth will be in the sanctuary.
