This week: Sports Night
Forms MUST be completed and given to Regina by this coming Friday. (Handing in on the night is fine!) this is crucial, especially for those who are under the age of 18 who need a guardian's signature. Or else entry will be refused...

So... please be dressed in appropriate sporting gear. (common sense...I hope..)

Bible Study 20/04/07

As expected, we have another stint of two ways to live! Hope you all practised your drawings and memorized those verses, as they are imperative to the whole study. Pre-Study is on Wednesday 7pm @ Church. (CONFIRMED) All the assistant leaders are STRONGLY encouraged to come, but is open to anyone who is eager! Small group leaders... lets just say you don't have much of a choice, and I continue to thank you for your commitment.

Completed camp forms and money should be given to Su Wei, [OR Rebecca, Amy or I (kev) who will in turn give it to Su Wei anyway.] Remember vacancies are limited! So get in fast! First in, best dressed =)

A reminder that if you took a coloured file/folder last Friday, please pay 70cents to your Small group leader. And if you didn't get one, please draw it to the attention of small group leader who will get you one as promptly as possible. Complaints and issues are still being heard. So please talk to me if you have any problems. Please avoid using a friend to express your concerns. I'm not that scary... am I? =(

The participants manual for Two ways to live, is still for sale. You could ask me for one (Cost of $15) or you could fill it out on the camp registration form. (And no.. there is no correlation between the camp and the book itself, so sorry if you got confused, it was just a matter of killing 2 birds with one stone)

Bible Study (The new series)

A new committee, a new beginning which means a new bible study! Our new study is entitled 'Two ways to live' which reveals ways that we can use to evangelize to the lost. It also includes tutorials (practice in drawing illustrations) that will support your explanation when telling people about God. This year, our youth will focus more on spiritual growth and evangelizing, this is one of the reasons that we have chosen this study. It is popular, interactive and most of all a fun evangelism training material.

Because Matthias Media (the publishers of the book) does not have enough stock (which means Word bookstore and Koorong won't have enough books either) for everyone in our youth in time for our bible study. Each member will work from a worksheet prepared by Reverend Chew, while each small group leader will have a copy of the book. Each of the leaders will have to buy a book from me for $15 *kevin's discounted price*. Even though each member will not have the book, we encourage you to buy a copy from Matthias Media directly. (they currently have around 10 copies) It is a great investment! so hurry before stock runs out! see http://secure.fellowworkers.com/cgi-bin/mmstore/ for more details. I put an emphasis on the assistant leaders (you will find out who you are) to get it, as you are likely going to be the people leading the youth in the future! *Not saying that if you aren't a assistant leader that you won't be a future leader either ;)*

Remember pre-study is scheduled for Friday 13th at 3pm at church! All are encouraged to go! And make sure all your friends come on Friday night too, as the new bible study groups will be announced. I've spent hours getting feedback & sorting out these groups, so hope you like it! I'm always open to any complaints as well =/ I hope you are eagerly anticipating it!

6 April: Good Friday

Hey everyone,

Just a reminder that this week there will be no youth group. The reason for this is that it is Good Friday, the day where we remember Jesus' death on the cross for our sins. Let us reflect on this day about what He did for us.

Instead of youth group, why not come along to our church's Easter Services? They are as below:

Thursday 5th April: Maundy Thursday service (where we remember the Last Supper), 7:30pm
Friday 6th April: Good Friday service, 10:00am (bilingual)
Sunday 8th April: Easter Sunday service, 11:00am (English)
